Located on one of the magnificent coasts of Mykonos, in Ornos, Adorno is a beachfront hotel that encapsulates the relaxed sophistication of the Cyclades.
The project focused on refining the hotel’s interior identity while enhancing its outdoor spaces — most notably the threshold between beach and entrance, now seamlessly integrated into the overall narrative. Rooted in the raw beauty of its island setting, the design blends natural materials like straw, stone, and sculptural concrete with a boho minimal sensibility. Custom wallpapers with artistic patterns wrap both interior and exterior walls, creating a consistent visual language of craft and calm. Lighting, both indoors and outdoors, was treated with intent, shaping atmosphere and highlighting the textures of the materials throughout the day and night. Artisanal touches, such as hand-painted murals and handmade claustra around the pool area, inject a quiet artistry and reinforce the hotel’s connection to its local roots. With a fluid transition from beach to retreat, Adorno unfolds as a rhythmic journey of textures, light, and serenity — where Cycladic clarity meets understated refinement.
